What do you guys think about http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/boa/4409419418.html" rel="nofollow - this trailer for the San Juan?

I've contacted the seller for more pics but haven't heard back yet.

The big difference between any trailer out there, and the #5 CC trailer is that the CC trailer has the bunks on the frame itself, and not fastened to cross members.

Thanks

That rear cross member might be the deal breaker.

the axels look pretty far back... can you get the motor over them?   If they are too far back, tongue weight is going to be an issue.    I had "paperwork trail" problems on mine when I bought it, and it cost me a couple of state patrol inspections, and a couple hundred bucks for the "ownership in doubt" paperwork.   For me, the hassle was worth it, but NY might be different in that department. Good luck though!

Yeah, that's what I thought about too. I know one of the galvanized trailers I looked at before had the ability to shift the axles forward, albeit slightly.

Look at this pic of me towing it on my brother-in-law's trailer, and it obviously doesn't have the weight properly distributed. You can see where the engine is by where the air intake ports are.

It might be an extreme suggestion, but you could build your own trailer, or have a local shop build it for you ( we have a trailer manufacturer in town).

I do have a home-built one that is under the other free San Juan... haven't torn into that yet but it was really short.

This one is too narrow though. The seller just measured it and it is only 73" between the fenders.

Here's a great description:

I'm guessing a "zaxel" is a "2 axle" and a "bunk tinker" is a "bunk trailer".
