interesting... 1/10th boat is small. I have 4 1/10th Traxxis Tmaxx trucks with OS 18's in them! :D loads of fun.

Wow Mike, nice models you have there...
Yes, the red one is more detailed, but is it also an RC one?

Yes it is a RC the PO said it has a larger motor and prop so it gos faster. I just like it on the shelf as a model. I have never had it in the water.

very small motor...

If it had any guts it would have a heat sink on it or a proper boat motor with a water cooled jacket. I wouldn't run that thing more than 5 min every 30 min or so. I'd be afraid of burning the motor up.

John,

Check out that reduction though! That's gotta have a 10-1 reduction. The real questions are what way does the prop spin and does it require ZDDP?

The little remote boats are really cool. It would be fun to find a color match and keep it with the boat for off season conversation piece.
The red one is a really close match boat and trailer to mine.

They were on a old Ford Truck that Walt owned back in the 90's. Originally for the Christmas Parade in Pine Castle. When the truck got sold off went the boards.
I rat holed em after the Marketing dept threw them out during one of their mad cap warehouse clean out's!

That's a sweet mini rig!

Doesn't sound like I have a chance but that thing would look pretty cool with the 01 although it's a few years off.

My son just got a Super Air Nautique radio controlled boat the other night. Not quite the quality as yours, but hopefully it works. You should have seen that kids eyes light up!! We are going to a hotel pool tonight to try it! Knowing my luck he will sink it!

So who is the YOUNGEST nautique owner now? I was 23 years old when I got mine so Evan has me beat by 18 years!

I wonder if I won that auction. I have 6 of these kits and I bought only one of them new back in the late 90's Each one I own I have customized with a paint scheme or gas power or larger electronics. These are rare kits to find these days but they are out there.

I'd love to see some pics of your engine setups. Three year's later and my son is the proud new owner of Jody's mini Correct Craft. We'll be looking for a motor and running gear when he's a little older and can work on it with Dad and Grandpa.

Can't believe how much the next generation of Mars boaters has grown already.

Chris,

I would recommend that you check out a company that makes RC Boats tilted Aqua Craft, Inc.. They sell complete boats, but they also sell running gear and such. I also would recommend that you go electric and not gas. Go with a Brushless Motor and Lipo Batteries. Many of the RC Planes have switched from Gas to Electric. It is a cleaner and easier way to go.

I too can't believe that your son has grown so much. Thank goodness I am not getting any older, but your son sure is. .

Donald

Gary,

No air planes but I race 10 TH scale RC oval cars. I the winter, we run on a flat indoor carpet track. In the summer we run on a high banked concrete oval. I was hot and heavy into it from 87 -97 and then took off 15 years. I have been doing it once again for the last four years. I prefer to run outdoors in the summer, but boating take priority with the family in the summer.
