I am in the "thinking stage" of cleaning out some "inventory" this year..

Seeing if any interest...some pics of what may come up on the "sale block"....

All New, not re-built, 300 Horse Crusader with Velvet Drive. Complete down to the water pumps, carb, alternator, dizzy, spark plugs, etc.... still bolted to the original shipping crate.

Then theres the 68 Cuda .... 360 power, last ran in "08...

And finally (for now) is a project, the 66 'cuda SS.. 318 poly power..

any interest , let me know.

Seems these stages come and go, yet the inventory never changes!

Tim and Gary,
One MAJOR thing has changed since those posts...

(I found the 73)

Todays Facts:

1) The 73 is "here to stay".

2) I had been "kind of" keeping the Crusader in case I found a 73-76 SN project hull... I dont think I will be looking for one of those anymore.

3) Even after selling the 'cudas, I still have the 64 American Skier and the 62 Classic.

4) Besides boats I have a couple of old cars. (can you say... "insurance poor)

5)Four or five years ago, I started to fix up our old barn, then the frickin economy hit the skids....getting rid of the cuda's will not only free up some space, it will help buy some siding.

6) I can probably think of a few more reasons...

BUT, The 'cudas ARE going to be,GONE,
....either sold/parted/whatever, sometime this summer....

I'm not 100% sure about selling the Crusader yet tho, if the 73 ever needed an engine, would I rebuild or re-load?

Soooo, if you guys , or anyone wants to buy a 'cuda (or two).... lets talk.

....And Pete,
Pam isnt pushing this, but she aint complaining either..

Gary,
the 2001 wasnt that hard to sell. I'm not that into those "new" hulls.

As for the 'cudas, I should clarify, I'm not sure on the timing of selling them. I still have a 3 foot snowdrift in front of the barn the 68 is in. Hopefully that will be gone by the end of the week. Not sure when I will get time to get it started, plus I want to make sure we are past freezing temps once I do.

The 66 is "buried" behind the pontoon and some other stuff in another barn.

Jeeze, slow over on the General Forums side?

First, I really Do Not want to sell the Classic, as in the one post.

Second there is no reference to the 68 I DO want to sell.

Third, I Will be glad when winter is over and we can all get the boats out!

Chris,

How soon you needing some wings? I need to dig the 'cuda out of the barn its in and kind of go from there. Probably not ready to sell anything off it at this point.

I do know I have some wings in my stash as well. Just need to figure out what I have around, and if there would be any extras up for grabs.

Thanks Wood,

I just made a deal with another member for some wings. What year Higgins do you have? Those are great boats and hard to come by (can't remember where I read that you had one). Now you don't have to go digging through the barn, haha.

Thank again

C.

Glad to hear you got the wings!

The Higgins is a 62. This is a pic of the only time I had it wet. Only one we know of that has a stained hull.. most were painted white, with either red or blue accents.

Since this pic, it has been stripped and restained. Originally powered by a Graymarine 135, now has a Gray 188 setting in the hull, waiting to be hooked up.

Not enough spare time... Probably should be on the "auction block" as well.

btw, digging thru the barn is just going to be delayed.

You should go over and snagg the deck off the Mustang hull he has before he gives up his boating hobby

I'd love to dig through your barn but I have exhausted my parts budget. Time to do stringers and rebuild my engine. Too many things in boxes at this point!
