Ryan, can you get me some more info on the following covers? Looking for manufacturer, material, price, pics (if possible), etc.

74 Mustang Lime Green (16' or 17'?)
72 Martinique Maroon

If any of them are very cheap (<$100), let me know- even if they dont fit perfectly, I wouldnt mind having an extra dust cover or 2.

Thanks!

Ha, http://www.n3boatworks.com/Default.asp - N3 Boatworks is very much still in business. Note the link at the top of the page!

Call and ask for Ryan: 317-845-9253

Theyre a little hit or miss with email- I suspect their inboxes get pretty flooded.

I got my cover last week... it was mislabeled and didnt fit my boat, but they're taking it back without issue.

I got my cover last Monday and I am not really happy. I have emailed Ryan about 4 times (twice with pictures)to try to solve this, but no reply even though I have a read receipt from him. I hadn't planned on saying anything on the forum about a N3 before giving them a chance to reply. I am aware that they help sponsor the forum, but I feel that I am being ignored and because I am an international customer that customer service is not important. Because of work shifts and time difference I have been unable to phone.

After many emails and a phone call I paid $75 for the cover and a further $75 for shipping (ouch but courier was $170). Whoever at N3 does the shipping put an inflated price on the international shipping paperwork valuing the cover at $200 and $84 for shipping. Because of that I got hit with a $75 import tax...

I have put the cover on the boat for a trial and it is distinctly 'used' with holes in 3 of the 4 reinforcing patches on the windscreen corners and a water stain / faded area where water has pooled behind the engine. There is also a wear spot over the ski pole.

As you've guessed, I'm not impressed.

Tom,
About he courier I have to say that the price sounds about right. I have a cover that I'm selling and a gentleman from Australia want it. The shipping was $230 for a $120 cover. Is expensive to ship. About N3 I think they can do better discribing the condition of the cover. I paid for one and I was told it has an 8" tear, well, it was 8-8" tear higly used and dirty. But in I believe I got what paid for. I paid $20 and $20s/h. Is still a nice cover but it will require major fix. I am bit dissapointed since I didn't received what I thought but overall I am glad they put these things for sale. Hopefully it will buy me a couple more year until I can buy a nice one.

Posted By: must_dash
Date Posted: December-19-2011 at 1:19pm
I am aware that shipping from the US is expensive and I accepted the $75 as being a fair price.
I believed the covers to be 'new' or 'as new' as they were not described as 'used'. When I spoke to Ryan on the phone to order it I was told that the covers were from another dealers stock they had bought out.

I had 3 annoyances all together:
First was the wrong item value on the paperwork which kicked in an import and sales tax that probably wouldn't have been charged or been negligible on the real sales price.
The second was a used cover, but again the price wasn't too bad.
The third gripe was the lack of contact till I voiced on here.

However since then Ryan has emailed me and we have sorted out the problem and I am happy, Thank you Ryan :)

Like you I am pleased that they sell these parts and if I could get the Martinique windscreen glass all the way here I would be buying it.

Let's say blow out! They were old NOS inventory from MWCC. About half are ID'd I just haven't got time to list them for your viweing pleasure yet. Most are custom or Westland brand.

You sure theyre not made by Angola? They were MWCC's primary supplier for a long time, if I understand it correctly. Pretty sure the M17 one I grabbed from Ryan last year was an Angola cover.

If you find any for a gen 1 Mustang, Gen 2 Skier, or 2nd gen SN, let me know!

Will do I wish it were closer to when Mark and I were thinking about having a show here and we could just have a CCF.com open house and let everyone look at everything! haha. There is a 79 stang one up there...

Posted By: TRBenj
Date Posted: October-16-2012 at 7:41pm
gen 1 Stang = 1965-1970, 16'1" hull
gen 2 Skier = 1970-1974, 16'5" hull (prefer round windshield, but square windshield used on all 1971-1980 Mustang 16/Skier/Ski Tique might work)
gen 2 Ski Nautique = 1970-1981

'79 Mustang = Mustang 17 (wont work for me)

-------------

Posted By: phatsat67
Date Posted: October-16-2012 at 7:57pm
Yeah there isnt much from the 70's (thats not already ID'd).

79 stang was like the american skier.

I am going to get lists of what is ID'd up there and I have made room on other shelves for those that way I can get the unknowns over there and start to sort em out. Hopefully we will be able to hook alot of people up with covers. They will be nicely priced.

James, The only box labeled with grey 97 ski actually contained a grey 97 sport. So I don't believe there is one here as of right now. I do have a ton of westland covers that are in original boxes with labels. They don't really go back past 98ish

I will list all those becuase we know what they are. I feel sketchy about trusting the ID abilities of Ryan. Seems as if he made most of you mad. I go take a full inventory of what we have currently in boxes then I will start to check other covers. I have plent of 90's boats here to ID covers with.

WT means with tower
CP means covers platform
SN means with snaps

Everything else will either be velcro straps or cinch rope around the bottom side.

Keep in mind even though these covers have never been out of their original boxes When you decide to purchase one they will be taken out and inspected proior to shipment. I don't to dissapoint any of you.

I would bet that the Angola covers you have on hand will have the model (and possibly year) marked in chalk right on the cover itself. I know all the ones Ive seen out of their shop have been... including the M17 that I got last year (which Ryan had incorrectly identified). So if it doesnt say what it is on the box- or even if it does- open it up and see if its marked.

Posted By: phatsat67
Date Posted: October-19-2012 at 7:43pm
Alright just so you can all see. Normal color options(Black/Grey) in the Westland covers will be $85.00
Odd colors(any other than black/grey) will be 70 bucks so if you need and extra dust cover they are cheap enough.

We can disguss pricing on all of the original Angola Canvas stuff. The Angola stuff is worth more in my opinion becuase of the custom one off ones. It will be reasonable. I hooked Kevin up with his for 140.00 Not trying to hide anything here. It was a "desirable" cover, being that it was for a 90-93 ski and it was in a good color(light grey) with a normal "cinch" attachment style. Still a good price in my mind. Wish I had a grey 86 cover for mine :(. As stated before the covers of odd colors or other attachment styles will be slightly less if your application fits.

Zach, I got my cover and it looks great! I'll throw it on the boat this weekend and take some pictures.

Thanks Steve, Thanks Kevin, Thanks Peter!

Chris, I will keep a hard I out for anything that may fit your fleet.

Peter, just did a quick overlook and I saw Charcoal and Cloudburst Grey. Both had tower provisions. Let me know if they are interested.

Hi,
I'm looking for a cover that would fit a 96 176. I didn't see it on the list, and I know the op is old, but I thought I would ask. What different covers are available for this year and model? The one I have now is pretty big, covers the platform, and uses straps that go under the hull to secure it. What are the differences between the mooring covers and the trailering(?)covers?

I'd appreciate any feedback.
Thanks,
Don

Don, Thanks for your interest. These covers are old left over new pieces that we purchased from another out of business Correct Craft Dealer. As far as I can see right now there are no 176 covers up there. Keep posted on new devlopments and maybe we will get lucky.

Have you tried doing any research to see if anyone actually still makes an exact fit 176 cover?

Zach- my buddy with the 216 w/tower told me he bought a new Coversports cover earlier this summer so he's out.

Have another friend that has a Red/White '05 216 no tower. May be interested if you have anything in red, black, grey/charcoal, navy, etc...

Also have a friend with an '05 210 w/tower that could use a cover but there is probably less chance you have one of those given popularity. That boat is yellow.

thx
Peter

Ha! What's probably even more rare is that me and another buddy both have 2001 Pro Air Nautiques. Not too many of those were made in 2001.

Haha. you are probably right. I'm thinking about doing a custom cover for mine like the newer boats with vents and the super tight ratchet style cinch strap so I can put it on while the boat is in the lift in minutes.

Not that I have seen yet. Tim is first up for that because he gladly gave up an NOS gauge to another CCF'r a few days ago!

Hey Zack,

I'm looking for a cover for a 98 Sport with a Tower, would any of these that were listed earlier still be around and fit the sport? What does the x2 mean? If the covers are not for towers, depending on price, I can perhaps tweak the cover to fit around the towers.

00 air/sport x2 CP Navy
98 Sport Navy
98 Sport x2 Forest Green
00 Sport/Air Navy

thanks, feel free to hit me up at pphilip@gmail.com

Patrick
