Thanks to everyone at this years SJRR for making Stacey & I feel so welcome! We both had a blast enjoying a beautiful FL day with everyone! Our only regret was not staying for the entire weekend. But....we had so much fun today that we pre-booked a cabin for next year before we left Parramores! Thursday-Sunday!
Beautiful weather, great company, and Correct Crafts abound. What else could you possibly need?

The factory sent a couple of brand new boats up as well, and they were nice!

I second that request. It's pretty easy, go to the album page and open each image in it's own window (right click on the image and select 'open in new window'). Then just copy/paste the link to the page into the Insert Image icon in the Post Reply page.

That's Les & Cindy Todd's boat. It's a 2009 promo boat that lives on their private lake. They both came out and hung with us all day Saturday and Saturday night.

Les is a huge NASCAR Fan and his boat reflects that.

Billy entered his wooden CC Boat in a wet slip. About twelve of us went to the show on Friday to look around. Some went yesterday ( Sunday) to the show. It was one hour from Paramore's. I would guess that there were 100 boats in the water and 300 more on the land at the Mt. Dora show in Tavares Florida. lots of vendors and some beautiful boats to look at. I believe there were two wooded CC's in the show and one was Boat Doctor's.

I was told that if you were to enter our boats into the show and leave them on the trailers, you basically have to leave them at the show all weekend. If you traveled to the show by water, and paided for a show slip you could come and go as you please. We did not want to loose access to our boats for the weekend.

I hope this helps,

Donald

WOW! What a weekend! I think it's safe to say that the SJRR was a complete and total success. I'm worn out from all the activities from the weekend and the drive home late last night. It was truly the best River Run yet and was really bummed out when I put the boat on the trailer for the trip home.

HUGE thanks to Lorrie at Parramores for putting up with a bunch of "Boatnick's" and going above and beyond on many things that came up that she took care of and told us not to worry about it.

Thanks to Bill Yeargin for coming out and visiting us on Friday night. I had sent him an email letting him know that we were going to be there and he responded back saying that he had plans with his daughters that were home for Spring Break. His plans had changed and he made the trip up,stopped and talked to each fan individually gathered at the Blackwater Inn for dinner. It was a surprise visit and a good one at that.

The CCFans were true to form and were willing to help in any way they could from asking me how they could help, offering rides to those who needed one, offering something cold to drink on the water if somebody ran out, bringing enough food to feed a small army ( which I think we had), manning the grills and fry cookers, to launching/retrieving boats down to even wiping them down.

Mr. Ralph is always a treat but to have 5 or 6 generations of Meloons there was truly a blessing in itself. I had several members of the family thank me for having such an event and how neat it was to see so many people care that much about a ski boat. I told them all that I had nothing to do with it but it was the CCFans themselves who come together to have this event but that a small few just kinda dictate to what was needed. I think I even heard some family members say they were planning on joining us for the whole weekend next year.

It can be easily summed up and Billy put me on the spot Saturday night and I think most of you there would agree....

Yes correct Parramores is right off the main part of St Johns River about a mile from Lake George its old florida I call it in its natural state, which is still used for laser guided bombing runs.

It was great to meet and see so many Correct Craft people that attended, boats, food and of course I couldn't leave out the apple pie ;).
I've already heard from other nautique people that want to come next year! I will be getting in earlier friday to get some skiing in!
The CD I think Morfoot made for the goodie bags I am guessing... has some good tunes on it.

as long as we are calling out personal favorites..I gotta go with the close-up of the 2 phone guys..

Seriously tho...what an awesome day. Had a great road trip with my ski partner, Eddie-backfoot100. He was along for the ride on the first SJRR and was quite surprised by the growth. Was super to meet so many new Fans and their wives or girlfriends. Impressed by all the younger guys as well. It isn't just old guys that like these boats.

Thanks to Gary and MaryFrances for the ride...AdamT for the belated Christmas present...Marty for sharing with me a great treat, I'll let the pictures do the talking Marty! MoorFoot for the great CD's....Billy and Karen for all they do. I even made a new Fan/friend from outa the country..was very cool to meet Roger. Cool how people come from everywhere to be at a C/CFan reunion. Well worth it.

Only thing that could've made it better would've been if my bro Bill had made it down here a day earlier to attend.

MoorFoot is right...C/Cfan...what a great bunch of guys!

First the BEST part is to see Mr.Ralph and his family.
The worst part, is its over and to say the good-byes..

Just to hear the people already saying we'll be back is the
reward !!!!

To say thank you to all that made it a great time would take
to long, so thank you to everyone !!!!!

What a WONDERFUL weekend!!!!!! We had a Great turn out! We even had a member come all the way from UK JUST for this event and will be back next year. Bully also showed up and joined us. But he was over served so we didn't see much of him since he was recouperating all day Saturday. He will be going to the UK and the wedding with Roger.

To be truthful, there is no way to know exactly how many people we had. There were 30 boats and 43 people that registered. We had 30 CC Boats at the Glen on Saturday. No way to know exactly how many were with the Meloon contingent not to mention those that just showed up and participated but did not register.

Saturday night, when Mr. Ralph was speaking there were 60 people sitting in the room and you could have heard a pin drop. It was GREAT!!! We feed well over 140 people that night and could have fed more because there was food left over. Billy said that there were several times during the evening when Billy checked on the food and the table was empty and there were still many more to feed. But the grills were full and the food kept coming.

It was a fabulous weekend. We had 5 generations of Meloons plus Lester and Cindy Todd at SJRR. What a treat!!

I think the Meloons as well as Bill Yeargin came away from the weekend with a new appreciation of what we are all about and how we feel about these OLD boats. The Meloon contingent as well as the Todd's told me that they WILL join us for sure next year.

Hopefully, we can add a thing or two for next year and bring it up a notch. We will start earlier next year planning.

Like Tim said, I could not have said it better myself--Its about the people that OWN the boats and the Christian values that the Meloons have built CC on.

Hope to see you all next year, same time same place!!!

As all who were there have said - this was a great weekend and a great gathering. I too want to say thanks to all that worked so hard to make this deal happen. I am truly amazed at how this has grown - from just a few CC fans in '08 who came by where Reid and I were staying for the Daytona 500 to the first informal gathering in '09 to this past weekend. I really enjoyed meeting again those who I have met before as well to meeting new friends. Hope for continued success and look forward to next year. And Tim, thanks for posting Olive Oyl - she looks good in the water.

A large thanks to all that helped with this years SJRR.
This gathering has continued to grow , and the list of attedee's shows the intrest in a simple,"no plan"event.
I want to thank all that attended this years event, Karen and I tried to make this gathering as user friendly as possible, no plans.
Not better not any less than the "official" events, just different.
The CEO of CC was set back by this bunch of misfits, their loyalty and their love of these old boats. This is the message that Karen and I have tried so hard to convey to corporate at the CC factory.
We are making a few adjustments to the NO PLAN to bring this event to the next level.
While this will never be an Official CCFAN event it has grown and taken on it,s own personality, much in the same way it has for the last two years.
Again Karen and I along with all the members that worked so hard to make this "thing happen" say:

                     Thank You Very Much

Quick post here - great time and I am looking forward to next year.

Photos - I gathered all the photos I could from Billy & Karen, Sue, Mr. Morefoot, others and those I took ... I will be posting a link to a hosting service where all can go and view and download if they wish.

There are so many photos to go through - I was asked to remove some "moon shots" so it may take me a bit to go through them and then start the upload over night!

Thanks again Billy, Karen, Tim, David Hendricks, Marty, and all that made this such a great event - as a rookie I have nothing to compare it to but I will say that I feel I have made some very good friendships and look forward to sharing more correct craft times ahead.

Heck - after driving the Orange Crush and other more sexy boats, I may have to upgrade from my big but nostalgic Southwind!!!

Well Chris I think Arts memories are a bit off . He said they were well thought out but by the marks left by the tooling he could tell it was not their work. He did come over and really checked over my trailer. I did learn that those 2 rings welded on the frame toward the front of the trailer and those vertical bars welded between frame rails that I thought were for tie downs are in fact used to hold the frame when painting.

Dave - right back at you.   I was happy to host your gals and son ... we had fun at the Glen and I was more than happy to share all the room in my floating living room!!

Can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed meeting you and your family and getting to know your housemates - Marty and his family.   Also, thanks again for the guide pole pads - sweet addition to my trailer redo.

I am looking forward to next year - definately bringing my wife and kids - they are looking forward to it.

White Lake is up in the air at the moment - working through the kids calendar and events.   Will keep you posted.

Expect an email from me soon to follow up on getting in touch with Bruce at Midwest CC.

Thanks again,

Dave

What tooling marks? Were holes actually drilled and not torched??

Picture Alert - I should have all the photos ready to be uploaded to a Photobucket account within the next day or so. (I have been covered up with work since I got back but am now on Spring Break starting today!)

Any recommendations on where to put the link?   Should I just put it here or should I start a new thread under "reunions"?

Friday late afternoon there was a small baby Gator ( 3 footer) hanging out at the uncovered boat docks. This was only about four feet from the boat launch. On Saturday, some folks were feeding him Cheese Puffs. I figured Mama gator was near by. Several eight footers were seen on the river. I am thinking someone has to of gotten some pictures of one. I left my camera at home.

They are there and have to be respected.

Tim gets the photo WINNER! I forgot to ask where you got paint pens to sign boats, since I live 15 min from factory. I got my sign book and info from MR. Ralph today. Awesome.

Now we've heard about all these great pictures that Salty allegedly has in his possesion and I think when he stopped at South of the Border to gas up he handed them to Pedro and marked them "Operation Oddessy Dawn" Classified. and put them in the snail mail. I mean I've already had 2 girlfriends since then and saw Elvis.

Big Link to Correct Craft with the Airboat Pic! That is a Diamondback Airboat built in Cocoa Florida. Diamondback had been building most of the CC flight control towers a couple of years back.

They are also one of PCM Levitator Airboat engines biggest customers. There is a 75% chance that the engine on that Airboat is a PCM GM block. Also as everyone was leaving at 3:00 on Sat an Airboat with the Levitator 6.0 MPI engine pulled up the Glenn.

actually he was pointing out the gas pedal.

seriously guys....where else and what other kind of guys would let a person jump into their 'heirloom' boat that they had cherised since 1970 and let him drive? What a treat! Driven alot of boats but never one with a gas pedal and left hand drive to boot. But I got the hang of it....did ask Marty to dock it tho. Fun?....he## ya man.......thanks Marty.

Ahhh Dave, but yours' gets more air than Marty's does and we have the pics to prove it.

On a side note....I forgot to add this one in the pics as i took it with my phone and I forgot about it.

How often do you get to see a CCFan ( Sweet77) working on one of the First SN's ever produced by CC with it's keeper and caretaker Art Cozier.

For the record....the boatdr told him get in there and change the spark plugs.
