I have done a search of the archives, and I think I already know the answer, but is there anything marine specific about the ignition coil? I am thinking no as everything I have read referances the distributor, starter, carb, etc...but nothing about the coil.

Auto ones wont blow you up, but may not stand up to the vibration or heat. Actually looking to get a v-drive. Have been boarding a lot lately and want to get something with ballast and tower. The sport has been very good to me, but I am not emotionally attached to it or anything. Put a lot of elbow grease into cleaning it up this past weekend and actually thought about changing my mind. Good question. I ended up getting a replacement from White Lake for $30. Same unit as DIM.
