Is there a recommended material for replacing or overlaying the wood grain vinyl on a 1982 SN2001? Appears to me to simulate black walnut, and has a pattern common to the other '82 dashes I've seen. My dash is nicked, faded, and has a hole for a radio. Would like to fix the hole and apply vinyl that matches original.

It’s not Vinyl, it is inlaid in the fiberglass dash.
