Hi Guys,
My brother is shopping for a crossover and we have found this 01 Air Nautique. I would love to get your thoughts generally, but especially on the broken hour meter and how big of a deal you think that is and/or how hard it actually might be to fix it if he ends up buying this boat.

thanks

Also, how hard would it be to convert that super tall pylon to a normal size pylon?

Thanks

Looks like it has perfect pass, you can go thru the menu on that gauge to find hours, that will only tell you how many hours have been put on since that gauge was installed, which could be since day 1. Other then that there is no way to determine hours.

The extended pylon is a pretty great option, if you really don't want it should be easy to find someone who would swap for a conventional one.

+1 What Chris says. Best you can really do is a good long test drive and as much testing as you can do in the driveway. Check temps, oil pressure and the like while on the test drive and a compression test in the driveway, if possible, and ask plenty of questions.   All that only tells you so much though so ultimately it's a gamble.
