So much to my surprise today- the first boat I ever owned as an 18yr old is listed for sale! just stumbled across it. I bought this 1983 BFN in 1989 and started to freshen it up. I removed the stripe/graphics and got decals from southeast correct craft. traded it in, in 1991 for a new boat. It has stayed in the area I traded it in for the last 25 years! I am still blown away. if I got it back- I would want to do a total restoration on this one! what to do?!?!?!?!?!?!?! plus he is asking pretty strong money.

this is what it looked like the day I traded it in in 1991 @ dealer! crazy

You have to factor in the cost of a storage facility for your Nautique inventory. Looks cool, don't see many in the green. I like it!

Pretty unique opportunity. Only reason would be because of the fond memories with my dad! Ugh! Wish funds were unlimited.

Rod,

Do not listen to Steve. He has a sickness. This fall, against his will, he will have an intervention for his own good. However, I am sure he does have all the gauges that you would need for it. Oh crap, who am I kidding. I know you have several sets for it.

Never mind.

I currently have access to the original motor and the car is now small block powered and has a 10 yr old decent restoration. it is on the market . it would require selling the car i have waited for my whole life.(my 67 vette)    what would you guys do?

Vettes are way overrated, get the Chevelle.

That's a tough one, but for me I'd keep the vette, plus I like the convertible over the hardtop Chevelle.

Both are worth bucks in today's collector car market, but I believe the Corvette would be worth a little more than the Chevelle, especially if it's got the 435 HP 427 under the hood.

My favorite Vette would be the '65 1/2 with the 396. Super rare car.

I had a 1969 Z-28 that I blew the engine and was forced to sell. 3-4 years later I ran into the guy that bought it from me. He had put a 427 into it and had kept it pristine. He offered it to me at a fair price, and after much thought, turned it down. I still regret that decision.
Get it. What do you have to get rid of?

1991 barefoot Nautique- 475 hours on the 454. Blue version. Should bring a fare price and then I'd see about buying the 1983.
