Fabulous original interior. The buttons let you know the M17 is fancy!
Are you missing a rope clearance bar or ladder? |

Really like those front buckets, and the beautiful blue color. Has that thing been parked in a time capsule for the past 35 years?

The story is I spent a lot of time in my younger years skiing behind a friends red and white 77 Mustang. A few of you may know him Jeff from Nautiques of Orlando. I recently bought a cabin and needed a boat. My first search on craigslist and this mustang came up. I sent Jeff the pics etc he said looks good. $4400.00 took it away.

79 came with a swim platform. It is missing teak accent piece on bow though.

Yes, 79 had the swim platform... But that is the first boat I've seen that didn't have some sort of appendage intended to keep the ski rope from getting entangled in the scoops and lifting ring. Ladder-less boats usually got "rope clearance bars". No evidence of extra holes in the gunnel?

Those cleats, presumably aftermarket, don't look so ski rope friendly either.

Looked at brochure from 1979 and it appears to be the same. Not sure

The rear deck is the same as the brochure boat... But the one in the brochure doesn't have a pylon! That usually comes with a corresponding rope clearance bar (or ladder). Perhaps your pylon was added after the fact.
