Don't add Lucas.
Run oil with proper zinc levels. VR1 is liked by many, including me, because it's easy to get and does the job. Cory, I guess Pete's point is the way I look at it. Why not run the higher zinc oil? If you are running T6 anyway, it's not like you'll save more than 10 bucks a season running T6 over VR1. I like T6, have switched to it in my diesels, very good oil at a very reasonable price. But I run the oil that is recomended for each of my engines based on what I read from smart, experienced people here, or at BITOG, or a few diesel forums I'm on. |

Valvoline now has 0W-30 Pro-V racing oil. New Valvoline 30W Oil
I'm sticking with VR-1 SAE 40 but this might interest others if they find it suitable for their use. |

Hopefully you are not implying people should run 0W-30 in their boat engine. Maybe in a modern automotive engine, but not a boat engine! |
