Gulp ... I want it. Closed loop cooling, looks to have been maintained, 10 year old aluminum trailer but thankfully stayed with bunks, not rollers. Really looks like a nice boat.

I agree. I've never priced one, wouldn't that repower plus closed loop cost 4 or 5 thousand by itself? The trailer had to be 3 grand or more.

Right, not even Hollywood could polish that one.

Fugly? I don't know, I've always kind of liked the way they look. Functional, tons of room, simple design.

Here's a direct link It sure looks rough but at least the seller does state it does need a complete restoration. The cover may be new but the rough condition indicates it's been sitting outside in the weather. The engine may run like a "Swiss watch" but I suspect that is without any load. Still worth looking at for anyone wanting a project. Plan on tearing it down completely and plenty on new plywood.

I wonder if this one is a scam? I saw this same boat this winter on CL and it was listed in the middle of Iowa. I guess close enough to Omaha, but, seems significantly underpriced for such a good looking boat. If it is for real, I am surprised it is still on the market.

Nevertheless, I am prepared to blindly send a $7500 check to an annonymous ebay freight forwarder account because the owner is out of the country at the moment, and the boat is actually in storage in an inconvenient-to-look-in-person far away location.

I checked it last night, and it is still listed in IA. The wording on the ad is different, and the hours are a little different. But, maybe he made slight changes so he could get the same ad to post in different locations?? If it is real, it does seem like a lot of boat for the money. I was trying to look at the registration letters, but, really couldn't make them out.

That is one scary advertising statement. Combined with the photo from a half mile away, it makes a grand seems way to high.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.
