Here's the battle of the $12,000 Correct Crafts.

First, we have the 1968 white on white (which even includes a white painted ski pylon) that has been for sale forever. $12,500

Then, we have the '84 SN which looks to be in good condition but no mention of the floor/stringers and no pics of the engine. But not really a deal at $11,534.

Next, we have the "2001 model" which looks like an '83 to me. I hate it when they list it as a "2001" to try to trick people into thinking that is the year, and never mention the actual year.
Looks nice and clean but also no mention of floors and no engine pics. Overpriced at $12,000.

And finally we have a 96 SN in the famous purple/teal/white sitting on a purple Supra trailer. Looks like it has been treated well and at $12,500, seems like a more reasonable price.

Here's quite a deal, it's a "Nautique 351 21ft". That must be a Sport Nautique, right?

Nope, it's a 1989 Ski Challenger that the seller says "Looks like a Nautique".

Sure, it looks like it in that it also has seats, a 351w engine, a windshield, and a propeller. Much like I look like Brad Pitt because I have blonde hair and two arms.

Wow that bow and windshield on the Ski Challenger is an awful look.

It's warming up and people figure this is the time to sell their highly valuable boats. Never hurts to ask a price, but some of them are so foolishly high that they are just hoping somebody that doesn't know better shows up.

I did email the Moomba guy the other day to let him know his boat doesn't go 70, more like mid 40's.

Those Challengers were actually Bayliners. A friend that had a fiberglass shop in Charlotte back in the day said he had a few of them come in with entire sheets of glass mat delaminating. Even back then I could not figure out why someone would buy one of them when you could get a 2 year old Nautique for the same money.

Yeah it looks like someone forgot a "0" in his price. But wow, not only is it secured to the lifing ring, it is putting pressure on the windshield. How did this person think that was a good idea?

Honestly.....and this is the only time I will ever say this.....but that pile would be worth more if it said "TUBE-TASTIC" instead of Ski-tastic.    That's just shameful.

That one is up for sale every year. By the looks of the posting (with all the exclamation points), it is the same guy still trying to sell it. Can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want that piece of art.

Here are 3 oddities:

We've heard of the Ski Challenger by Bayliner (I remember it in the 89 catalog that my dad had... he had an 87-ish Bayliner). It seems like they were ahead of the times with wrap-around seating for their v-drive.
Here's a 1996 Ski Challenger. Is there an earlier example with wrap-around seating in a v-drive?

And here's a Ski Centurion where the engine is mounted in front of the driver. Haven't seen that one before.

And finally, here's a 1997 Aztec Coyote. It looks like a Moomba and boy is it fugly. Someone posted another one recently with the rudder externally mounted on the rear.

I called on that Fish Nautique three weeks ago. It's far from original hull paint, switches, and has a 350. Someone out west sent a deposit to hold it until he could fly down and look at it. The owner is suppose to call me if he doesn't purchase it this week.

Yes, Correct Craft introduced the Supersport in '95.

That Fish looks pretty cool. Ross, are you the "guy out west"?

I didn't realize the Supersport was that early. I thought it was late '90s. But yeah, the Maristar... I rode behind one in 1996ish.

Here's a 1980 Mustang (somewhat) in Tim's neck of the woods. I emailed asking him for pictures. Will post here if I get them.

Quote For sale is an original 1980 Correct Craft Mustang speed-boat. It has been stored for 25 years. It has 200 Hours on it. Too fast for the little grand kids.

Oh baby would I sure love an 83 Mustang to compliment the Martinique. I'm sure a Benjamin could harbor a project but 3400 is too much and one project at a time! Please post the pics if you get some.
