Definitely a cool and rare boat. Here is some discussion of the boat in general and then a more detailed discussion of the one on my home lake.

Found a couple listings

79 Mustang with incorrect trailer

55' Atom

Wouldn't mind to have a CC with a cuddy, but these always seem super hard to sell, and draft a lot of water from what i remember.

Nick,
Yes, it's not a CC trailer but what's not correct about it? Shorelander does make a good trailer and it is the bunk type.

Boat sits pretty low on that trailer. Raised bunks and or a rudder guard would make for a safer ride. Does not help that the owner has to high of a coupler on the truck also.
Yes, Shorelander makes good trailers.

I should have used a better choice of words. What i really was meaning was a non original CC trailer. I agree that shore lander is a good trailer. Just used a poor choice of words in my description. My bad.

You can see from the engine pic that it has been modified to the fit the likely none original engine. Which means it might actually be a 351w - looks like pcm freshwater cooling to me to go along with the exhaust manifolds.   Shes in a brackish water area with freshwater cooling so some metal corrosion issues are likely. A fair amount of original parts there, depending on the quality of the previous work done someone could likely make something out of it if they had a lot of time and love.

Motorbox and single (center) exh outlet = originally a i6 boat.

Looks like a nice thick coat of rust colored house paint over the original (faded) red.

Even if it had composite stringers and drive by wire fuel injected engine and new 1:.23:1 trans... its still painted... but nice, assuming really good original stringers and a quality RH carbed engine rebuild maybe someone out there with 15k?

I have a feeling who's SN that is. I'll need to do some investigating. If it is the one, the last time I saw it was in real bad shape. He had it for sale all summer with no takers.

Cobalt Ski Boat

Just when you think you've seen/heard of them all, here's another "normal" boat company that tried to dip into the inboard market (ever seen a Ski Ray?). I will say that Cobalt boats are pretty nice as sterndrives go, and that this boat has pretty nice lines. Not sure what's up with the engine cover. But not a bad looking boat - plus it's got a GT-40.
