Most of the people who visit this site already have a Correct Craft. FB gets a go-zillion more traffic than CCF especially with potential buyers.

Sold this boat for my asking price on FB marketplace. No interest or calls because of this site. I was a little surprised...

Oh well, moving on with my SNOB that is valuable to me.

As long as Elise and I are working on it the vinyl stays. Easy to peel off if you buy it.

Great looking boat. Might help to sell if the naming was removed from the transom. If it was from a previous owner. That would be the first thing I would tackle. Might be a problem if Elise is still around.

I do have I love Hollywood (The Moderator) tattoo on my backside.

Donald

I’ll use this thread to record progress on “the project” as it will become known. Might rebuild the trailer too.

Fuel tank cleaning, filler neck replacement, fuel vent line and feeder line replacement. We replaced both speedometer pressure lines and rear pickups. Speedometers both work as well.

Next, might as well pull the carpet, inspect the floor and investigate stringer integrity in various places.

While the seats are out my daughter and I will also replace the marine plywood seat structures.

It’s been up for sale for a year. This latest economy hiccup aside...maybe the value isnt as high as I believed when I bought it.

I think my daughter and I will keep working on it and fixing things one by one, ignore the storage issue and drive it now and then. It may have to go under the cover outside.

I think your price is fine. Selling these boats can take time. They are very specialized boats for three event skiing. You have to be patent and wait for the right buyer. As the weather warms, things will improve. The virus puts us in a new game too.

I think with the economy in total shock people are not buying anything right now and toys are well down on the list.
I have a nice truck for sale right now and the phone is not ringing at all. TIming is everything.   Good time to buy if you are a buyer.
Pull it for a month and see if the economy rebounds. The Corona Virus threat needs to subside so things start to normalize.

Yes, thanks for the link. I’m a realist, but maybe I just don’t know what it’s worth...

Keep spending money restoring my ‘85 SN or just lower the price so it will sell?
Maybe parting it out is the answer? Already down well below what I have in it.

Only other thing I can think of is to start selling raffle tickets for $10, when I’ve sold 500 of them I’ll draw a name.

Advice on what else to do (besides keep it) is appreciated. Paid ad is in the for sale section, the FB ad and CL calls are wearing me out...

Our family grew and we needed a SNOB to fit everyone, so a 2000 Sport Nautique is working perfectly.
