I saw a thread on here once upon a time that showed photos of hot to clock the front cover for rotation change. Can someone point me to it? This is in regards to the velvet drive 71c 1 to 1 trans. Thanks
there is no substitution for cubic inches.

This is probably the thread you were looking for in the link below . It was your thread from a couple of years ago.   

It has pictures and some discussion/confusion about your engine rotation.

From looking at your posts since that time, it looks like you have a normal rotation engine and the pictures/discussion should get your pump oriented the right way
