I was looking around on Amazon and ran across some 3M Marine High Gloss Gelcoat Compound. I was looking to see what kind of gel coat patch kits were out there and ran across it. I was wondering if anyone has used it? Is it any good? Looks like it will cost about 65 dollars a gallon bucket.   Thanks for the information.

Are you looking to use this as a compound or to patch your gel coat. It's a compound for buffing and gelcoat not a patch. 3m compounds are usually great but a gallon would be enough for about 10 boats.

Or most of one heavily oxidized boat - in my experience a bigger old CC takes about a gallon and a quart. Some boats drink that stuff in and it is counter productive to be shy in using it.

I see I am not the only one that thought it was gel coat at first. My question was how good is this buffing compound? I could not find out too much information about it and was wanting to know if it was a new product and if it was better than the others.
