My CC Mustang has no ID numbers I can find except the engine block stamp which indicates it is a 1971 Ford 302. Can anyone help me further with the attached picture?

Probably not... All sorts of non-original going on with that engine. I think I see some Commander pieces on it. Some overall pics of the boat would be a good start.

They weren't used on most marinizations until the late 60's. They found out that buying the engine with the circ pump was cheaper than having to make a block off plate or even a casting.

Late 60's Mustang is my best guess.

Well it does say Mustang on the dash but that's not the original windshield.

According to what I can see in the pics offered on the brochures on this website, this boat looks more like the 1971 model than a 66.   The front scoop is moved back closer to the windshield on my boat like in 71 versus closer to the front on the 66 ( unless I am reading the pictures wrong).   Can anyone ID the tranny?

Go with the post above yours, that hulls last year was 1970,rear deck makes it earlier than 68. Post a picture of your front deck. Trans looks like it might be a Paragon

Don't let the windshield confuse you. It's not original. Yes, go by what Tim says. I agree with him. Yes, the trans is a Paragon.
