A guy from the Mount Dora, FL area; North of Orlando would like to purchase and rebuild my '73 Southwind. The only problem is he needs a trailer for the trip. Is there a way to rent, or possibly borrow and pay someone for this? Any ideas are appreciated.

I have a #4 for rent in Chicago. Hell, I could probably even deliver the boat over New Years's this winter. Email me.

I'm in High Point,NC . I have a tandem trailer just sitting around since The Boat Dr. gave me the #2 Trailer. The winch and bow stop can be moved forward. The width- I guess the side boards will spread out far enough or can be "cut-off"..

If I may ask who in Mt. Dora? We're just a 1 horse town. Is it Bruce (Skidaddle)?

I'll be driving near High Point Thanksgiving week. I don't plan on driving my truck but I can for a pitch in on fuel and bring MartyMabe's trailer back to Mt. Dora if that fits anybody's plans.

Wow! Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to loop Matt into this and see how he would prefer to proceed.

I have a few options hanging around in Iowa that would carry the boat to FL. Would need some tires, and most likely bearings.
If he's coming up with an empty hitch maybe we could have him tow a trailer (New Ramlin) up for us? Let me know if the other options here don't work out. |
