Here is my good old 1999 Ford F-150 with the boat. They look great together.

Yeah, I'd take the front row over the back row any day of the week.

When I was in my teens I had a ski buddy with a bronco like that. We completely fell out of touch when I went to college, moved to houston, so on so on, but last year I made the first trip back to my old lake in a bunch of years. I went by Bob's in the slim chance he still lived in what used to be his dad's house. Yup, and I knew he was still there because the old bronco was still in the driveway.)

The Bronco are classics! However, back in the early days when I was in Montana the Broncos where offered with both front and rear limited slips. Driving ice and snow pack roads through the mountains was a disaster. The front limited would lock up and people were driving them off the roads into valleys below!! It must have been another one of Fords bright ideas!

Locking diffs front & rear was a bit beyond what most can handle, but they are really tough to stop. Don't put your thumbs inside the steering wheel when the going gets tough either.

I think Morfoot would be one of the first people to tell you that you need a red boat to complete your fleet Chris

I agree, Gary. Probably going to let PicturePat handle the red boats. The Mars family is out of storage...for now!

2010 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition. Will go anywhere I tell it too, likes snow and tows the most in its class. I've put over 90K on the clock since new and it runs like a champ.

Anyone towing with a porsche cayenne? I'm currently looking to buy a twin turbo v8, 500 bhp, anything 2007 and older over here and you get a serious amount of motor for the money

2007 Jeep Commander with 4.7L V8 with tow package. Sure the Hemi would be better but it does the job.

I usually tow with my Tahoe but the truck is a very nice tow vehicle, strong and love driving diesels.

2010 Ram 1500. Probably posted before but here we go. Pulling about 7800-8000 lbs in that photo (those G boats are massive). Clicking along with 64k miles on it now. Does everything I need but I would enjoy slightly better city fuel economy.

I guess when the trailer needs more axles than your truck you know you're pulling a load!

They really are huge boats, surprisingly heavy for their length.

And the old, long gone, not as good, but really cool one.

Had to be a bitter sweet day. I'm sure you hated to see the old classic Jeep go, but on the other hand, I bet you don't miss the 8 mpg, and that's without the boat in tow.

Grand Wagoneers are the bomb.

I would love to grab up one of those with the older front end to stash up at the lake house.

[/QUOTE]

Now that pic reminds me of something that happened two weeks ago. Tyler Thigpen, quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, was taking his coastal edition to White Lake for maintenance from Myrtle Beach. He was pulling his G with an Escalade and was passing a car. The car turned left and hit the front tire of the trailer. Now looking at that pic above, it's a long ways from the front of the vehicle to the first axle. How do you not see that ahead of you? Must have been texting.
