Very nice Excel, but what's the deal with area around the drain plug in the transom and the prop and rudder? Salt water corrosion?

That, combined with the black bottom paint and location (MD) mean it's salty for sure.

Not a cc, but I sure like the lines. I wonder what the "new engine" is. 1955 Chris Craft Continental Runabout - $12900 (Madison, WI)

Price seems reasonable. Makes me think its not to original.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Did you miss this part? "Boat needs a new bottom."

One of this popped up for sale in MA a 1 1/2 yrs ago. It was a little pricey but you wouldn't have to clean the water stain off the hull as often. It is a sharp color combo.

Even if it was the worst color combo but it was in reverse gel it would still be a sharp boat haha.

I have been watching this on CL for a while. I think he has come down on the price. If anyone is interested in it let me know I am willing to go take a look, only 45 minutes from me.

Looks like a good deal but they don't say much about it. Checked out the marina's website and it states it is "priced without trailer".

Has anyone had a look at this? I'd like to check it out in person, but it's about 4 hours away. Priced right?

I seen this one this afternoon and sent the link to a couple of members I thought would be interested. It seems that nobody has the time to fix her up! Hopefully someone else scoops this one up because that is a great deal.
