Well my 12 year old Shorestation canopy disintegrated last year when I was putting it away and it's time to replace. My friend has bought one from here - http://www.boathoistdirect.com/ a couple years ago as part of a hoist package and has had good luck with it.

Their canopy prices seem to be about 1/2 the price of factory shorestation canopy.

I wondering if anyone else has ever purchased one from here or have any other suggestions. My friend has only had it for about 2 years. He said it seems to be holding up great, but it's only been two years so it might be a little to early to know how long it will last.

Thanks,

Andy

Andy,
I suggest you go OEM. They actually fit and do hold up longer.

You get what you pay for. I have a Floe and when it is time to replace it I'll get another one from Floe. The fit & finish is much better than generic aftermarket ones.

Andy, what do you mean when you say the canopy disintegrated? If the seam stitching is what pulled loose and your vinyl is still flexible, you can just have the seams sewn up again. I had that done with a Shore Station canopy that is at least close to 20 years old over the winter. The guy at the upholstery shop that did the work told me that with the top quality vinyl Shore Station uses, he doesn't understand why they don't use different thread to avoid rot (he had a pile of 15 or 20 canopy tops to be resewn). At any rate, for about $250 I got all seams restitched and should be good for quite a few more years.

A few years back I decide that spending money on the OEM ShoreStation covers is not worth the investment. There are plenty of options for covers out there and many are not of the best quality. However, as long as you research the actual material used in the cover you can get a very high quality cover for a fraction of the price of OEM covers. If you look into it close enough you will find that lift manufactures do not produce their own covers. Typically they all hire out the work to a 3rd party of which often make the same cover for the aftermarket sale. The challenge is finding a provider that uses a high quality canopy producer. I have purchase three aftermarket canopy covers for my Shore Station lifts from three different suppliers. I have had the best luck with then Shelter-Rite material and only a few offer this material. It typically cost a bit more, however it last much longer than the alternatives that I have dealt with. Four years ago I purchased a aftermarket Shelter-Rite cover from boatliftanddock.com and to this day it still is in perfect condition in comparison to the 2 other covers I purchased at the same time from a discount shop that uses some off brand material. Best thing about it was in my opinion is it was of equal quality to my original OEM cover but cost about $250.00 less.

I am surprised it fell apart. My Shore Station canopy is about 25 years old and the vinyl looks almost new. I had it re-stitched about three years ago because the stitching was starting to fail. $250.00 later and it's all good. The season is short by me (May to September) so it doesn't get the exposure of you long summer guys, but MI seems about the same.

This bag could supply a simple accessory towards the inside of the bag. There are various shades, but my vote arms down goes to the tan model. Obtain via Marie Turnor for $175.

Although Ive normally been a fan of all important things Michael Kors, my longchamp outlet adore has long been re-energized through the drop useless stunning MK Robe Debra Messing wore into the 2009 Emmy Award exhibit one other night time. This years Emmys was jam packed with longchamp tote gorgeous gowns, but it's the MK robe I cant end thinking about.

So, as I'm obsessing around the gown, I'm now also re-obsessing about his handbags. Ive been fast paced wanting to pick my new Michael Kors bag for the previous 36 several hours and i dont even know the place to start lots of to choose from.

I like how Kors understands the way to regularly re-invent himself and his types when often remaining both real into the classics and embracing new tendencies. A wonderful example of the is the Michael Kors Heidi Tumbled Lamb Substantial Hobo.
