We will soon be doing some much needed restoration work on our 89 Ski Nautique, and with the kids just learning to ski, we did not want to be without a tow boat. Hard to believe, I know, but my wife actually said, "why don’t you look for a second boat? If you see something you like..."
I started looking everywhere, trying to decide; big boat, small boat, older boat, newer boat, but we knew it had to be a Correct Craft. We didn’t want to put a lot of money into another boat, but we wanted something nice. We live on a small lake, and the kids are small, so I started thinking a smaller boat might be the way to go.
This 78 Tique fit the bill. I connected with the owner here after seeing it a couple of other places, and it has come to us by way of 2 CCFan members; Waterdog, who did the engine work after the original 302 failed and it became clear it been cracked and repaired (re-powered with a 350 Chevy, I would love to know more about that), and Air206, whose attention to detail is just phenomenal (everything works!). It is a beautiful little boat. We plan to enjoy her for a long time to come.
