1668 Correct Craft Barracuda SS. When I bought the boat I was told it is a 1968, but I think is a 1966 or 1967. Originally it had the Chrysler 318m poly engine, but one season changing the oil the oil was milky (water and oil). I started looking for replacement engines and discovered the 318m was obsolete. I found a running takeout MerCruiser 233hp ford 351 (very similar to the Pleasurecraft marine 351). The company was repowering to diesels. I love this boats engine cover. It is the fiberglass (not plywood) well-designed engine cover. So, when repowering to a 351w I found a set of aluminum Interceptor exhaust manifolds to clear the engine cover. The Engine is installed and has been out on the water. It runs like a monster (that is good). I have replaced the exhaust system (hose), Floor, Carpet, rewired the boat. The boat come with a Correct Craft 3 trailer The trailer is repainted with new bunks. It looks like a trailer from the late 1970s. The boat is a great original; it still has the original steering wheel. The stringers are original, there is no major rot, but someday in the distant future the stringers will need to be replaced. I would say the boat in great shape except for it has an automotive fuel pump, the boat has been painted and there are scratches and the bottom of the boat is unfinished, spot light needs to be fixed, horn, and running lights need to be connected, the hour meter is hazed over, and the water temp and fuel gauge doesn’t work, I am in the process of coving the rear seat, the front seats are original and are a bit wobbly, Trailer tires are automotive. I hate to sell it, but we just don’t use it.
