This awesome 1974 Ski Nautique is a boat all its own. It has been repainted and it looks as good as new! Previous owner added a Teak ski deck. We are the third owner and we drove 500 miles each way to pick it up. It didn’t run well at all, it couldn’t even pull up a skier! Now it runs like it was new, and it’s as strong as ever.
We upgraded our 3 bladed prop to a 4 bladed OJ. The pull from the hole is amazing. My dad and I love this boat. The SOUND is AWESOME! We’ve replaced all the exhaust hoses. We are thinking about converting to electronic ignition, but cleaned and properly gapped points work great. I am 19 yrs old, and my father is 46. he grew up around the second generation Ski Nautiques, so I imagine he appreciates it more than I do.
Great boat, best I have ever skied behind. Here is a video From the First drive of the 2008 season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIZOROI69V0
