It seems that there is never enough room in the boat for all the 'stuff' I take out on the water. Between my slalom ski, wakeboard, Air Boom, barefoot boom, kick-back protector, vest, gloves, ropes, etc. there is little room to get around. I do have some storage in the bow and under the seat cushions, but that still leaves all the big stuff lying on the floor to each side of the engine cover. If there was only some way to store all this stuff is such a way that it's neatens up the boat but still allows for quick and easy access. Let me introduce you to SkiTree, a small company out of Rindge, NH.

Single 'tree' mounted
SkiTree makes a very simple but highly affective ski rack system specifically designed for the inboard ski boat. Unlike other rack systems I've seen, the SkiTree system is made of 100% stainless steal, wrapped in soft neoprene, and will hold anything from a double high wrap slalom ski to a barefoot boom.

The SR rack from SkiTree is made up of two pieces, measuring 13" high by 6" deep, that mount to the floor along either gunnel -- taking advantage of this otherwise wasted space. Each excellently crafted stainless steel 'tree' is mounted to the floor with four stainless steel screws that pass through the sturdy stainless steel base. The all stainless design means they won't rust, fade or oxidize and, in fact, come with a lifetime warranty.

Installation of the SR was quick and easy, only taking about 15 minutes. The supplied instructions recommend mounting each tree 18" from the center point of available space along either gunnel. Because of my double boots of my slalom ski,

The before and after
I needed to mount the stern most tree about 22" inches from center. Once in position, I simply took my cordless drill and drove in the supplied 1" screws. That was it. In only a matter of minutes I had my Air Boom, slalom ski and kick-back protector neatly stacked along the gunnel and, for the first time, I had easy passage around the engine cover.

SkiTree does offer extensions for SR rack to accommodate wakeboards and they have come out with an optional swivel kit that allows each tree to turn 90 degrees, forward or backward, allowing you to keep them out of the way when not loaded with gear.

The SkiTree rack system is perfectly designed for your Correct Craft. It gets your gear off the floor while still allowing for quick and easy access. The all stainless steel construction means these racks are strong and durable, and their open hook design accommodates all different types of gear. SkiTree seems to be a great company that stands behind their products. After installing them myself my only recommendation is to pickup two sets, one for each side of your boat.
