The New England Reunion was a great success. We had 13 boats and well over 50 people in attendance. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Put nearly 11 hours on my '94 Ski Nautique as it pretty much ran non-stop from Saturday to Sunday. Lots of skiing and footing by all.

It was awesome. What a group of nice people. My boys and I had a great time. Thanks to everyone for being so nice and giving my kids a chance to run the course and barefoot. They had a geat time.
I'll post some pictures when my son gets them off his camera. |

Great Event. Great People. Great Boats. Brad and his friend Eric brought a course and had it set up Friday night. Sat AM the early arrivals (Keith, Eric, Brad, Tim and I) did some footing runs, (6 am, 60 degrees). During registration the local ski club performed out front. Good stuff. Air chair demo by a real pro. Keith and I gave it a shot. Not as easy as it looks, Keith definitly got the hang of it better than I. Some of our own show ski demos by Keith, Brad and Jeff Kostis. Jeff Kostis demo'd the fine art of extreme power turns.
Only a few minor mechanical glitches: me-exhaust hose-duct tape. Dave (and his amazing mustang)-vacuum hose-duct tape, and Brents Classic-stuck solinoid-hammer) Those simple fixes and we were all good to go. I had to leave Saturday afternoon. I'm sure saturday evening and sunday brought many more notable events Thanks to Keith and his family for putting on a great event. Thats true, but the highlight of my weekend was simply not falling out of Jeff's boat. 
It was great seeing everyone again, as well as meeting several new faces... another weekend well spent! The INT slalom instruction that we got on Sunday was a total bonus. Hopefully you guys were better with your cameras than I was. Looking forward to the pics. Keith, you did a great job pulling this whole event together. Somehow I missed your wife and parents on my way out yesterday- be sure to thank them for me! ------------- |

If I'm not mistaken the pic of the barefoot clinic is my 16 yo son, David, barefooting for the first time.
All I've been hearing since is that we need a boom, and a slalom course. And we are going to attend the INT meet in NH on 9-8 & 9-9 because these boys have to be there. Thanks to "Dad from the INT" for making David feel good about going to the next meet. |

Being in the boat, I don't have any photos of the powerslides. That last one, when we hit those waves, it felt like the entire boat was about two feet out of the water mid-slide. I hope someone caught that picture.

Hey all- WOW, where to begin?
Had such a great time up there we ended up staying another day. First off- a great big THANK YOU to the Bagley family for thier hospitality and coordination efforts. Also, please pass along our sincere gratitude to the remainder of the Sokokis lake community for allowing us to invade the small lake all day Sunday keeping the water calm for the slalom clinic. It was great catching up with old friends and making new ones. Not pictured in the Saturday night photos is the lovely Allison Bagley (Mrs Keith)who hung with the best of us all night and endured the ear drum spitting cover band (Tonto). Great job guys!! That set-up looks swell on the lakefront. I'm waiting for the power slide photos. We missed that opportunity at GL, but in retrospect it's probably better that we did. My goal in life has just shifted to where all I want to be able to do is roam the country and attend CC reunions. Like Brad, Id also like to thank Keith and the Bagley family for their efforts coordinating the event and their hospitality.
Also, a big THANKS to the Carroll family for allowing us the use of the shore front and parking the vehicles and trailers in their lot. What a great weekend! We had a wonderful spot for the reunion. The weather was perfect. And to top it off we had a great bunch of people and boats turn out for the NE reunion. It was nice to see friends from last year and meet some new ones. I'll say it... Great shots Kyle! I followed your link to Photo Bucket and tried to blow-up the power slide photo. It's not much bigger but you can barely see Tim, riding shot-gun upfront, and I'm bracing myself across the back seat. Of course, Jeff is behind the wheel.
I also grabbed Kyle's photo of the 3-man slalom criss cross. *Edit - That's Brad (Barracuda) in back, I'm in the middle, and Jeff (Jeff Kostis) skiing up front. Woodie is driving Jeff's boat.

I was behind you briefly Sunday night. I got to the light in Alfred and noticed your boat a few cars in front of me. I was behind you till we got to 109 in Sanford where you turned right and I stayed on 4 toward 236. If you look at the shot of the triple ski you can see Mike standing on his boat taking a picture. Saw the 176 on the trailer as we passed L. Ossipee. Wondered if we might pass you on the way home. Yea, we stopped in Sanford for a quick bite and coffee before we got on the highway. Hey Guys and Gals,
What a fun time up in ME last weekend. The location was perfect. Thanks to the CCF.com official lake patrol, we got some silkly smooth water. It was great seeing everyone again. Jeff, your Mustang is a carnival ride on crack. Did Keith leave nail marks in the fiberglass? My boat ran like a Nautique should. Fired right up, brought it up to 3,500 RPM's. It's nice to own an eight cylinder again. I put about 20 minutes on the motor. Tomorrow I plan on putting it through it's paces. Thanks to Keith for allowing this reunion to happen. Ken; Did you have to have motor work plus the fiberglass repair from last year done to "my" boat?

Hi guys,got back from our camping week yesterday. I have a couple of good pics of Jeff's powerslides but you'll have to wait til tonight. I haven't been out in a boat since the reunion so off we go. Yes, my boat is like new again. Looks fantastic. I just replaced the replacement motor. My Dad and I are heading out again this more to put some more hours on it. Here are pics of my new motor:

I am JEFF KOSTIS' sister (no need to send your condolences...) I was at the Reunion (Sat the 11th) and had my video camera...filmed the 3-Man X-Cross with Jeff, Brad and Keith and also two of Jeff's power turns (Sorry, Keith - didn't film the last one!) Hi John,
My original replacement motor gave up the ghost. It had a bent valve and kept blowing out the dip stick, with only 23 hours. NECC helped me out and got me another engine from another re-builder. I now have 4 hours on my replacement to my replacement engine. It runs like a champ. The only issue is that we're trying to calibrate the oil sending switch to the gauge. NECC ran a meter directly to the engine and I have perfect oil pressure. The gauge is funky now. It doesn't move smoothly now, it sort of ratchets instead of moving smoothly. It drops to about 9lbs at idle, causing the engine alarm and idiot light to activate. I'm going to contact SKIDIM in the AM for advice. Tim had a raspberry under his arm from the windshield on Jeff's boat.I think Keith had a pretty good grip on the rub rail.The first spin went nice. The second picture shows the boat pretty much out of the water, That one didn't go quite as smoothly. Tim tells Keith to watch for his feet when the boat spins.

Those are great videos, Laurie.
It was a great week end. My boys and I really enjoyed ourselves. Good boats, good people and a lot of great skiers. We really did well with the weather. It was perfect. Sunny, 80s and no wind. One week later and it's cloudy, 60s and windy. Lows at night in the 40s. |

Great video! The powerslides look great and you also get a sense of how hot Jeff's boat took the three of us out of the water (all on slalom skis). Farmer, great shots!
Is that Roy's red SkiTique in the 5th pic under the heading "The Lineup" in Farmer's post? Looks like his pylon is mounted turned 180 degrees like mine is, with the finger facing backward. I so regret not making it to the NE Reunion. Regarding Roy's and my pylon, I like to think mine is that way in case the "boat police" are after me. Mike - as Jeff confirmed, that Ski Tique does belong to Roy (my Dad). That pylon was mounted with the finger pointing back to accommodate a high-fly pole. The previous owner was a wakeboarder.
