I have a 1989 SN with a 351. I have a heater plumbed into it with the supply going to the port side engine drain plug, then to the heat exchanger, then to a 12 volt circulating pump, then to the intake manifold. Is the anyway of making it work without the 12 volt circulating pump ( as the impeller in the pump doesn't seem to last.

Route from the pipe plug on the circ pump to the heater then to the intake, like on autos.

I used to have one that went from the top of the engine, through the heater core, and then into a T on the pickup.

My last couple boats had factory installed heaters, http://www.heatercraft.com - Heater Craft was the Mfr., neither required a seperate pump for the heater so I would imagine you could eliminate the pump if plumbed properly.
