i have 68 mustang with velvet drive
where do you check the fluid?
and how much fluid and what kind
do you use? maybe dumb questions
but if you dont know, you dont know

Theres a threaded plug on top, with a square head, there is a dipstick attached. You can get the original "Type A" automatic trans fluid that was specified for it at Napa, or many just use a modern auto trans fluid. As to how much, check the dipstick after it has been running and add accordingly.

Should the fluids be checked while on the water? If you trailer, what's the best way to check them?
