Try photobucket. Pretty foolproof. Go to photobucket.com, register, browse for your photos on your harddrive and upload. Then copy the IMG line (below your uploaded photo)to your post here. Very easy. We want to see your boat, so try that.

Wow. Not a Nautique, but what a deal for $800. The trailer alone is worth more than $800. Enjoy. BKH

runs great, had an exhaust leak under the carb spacer,po thought the engine was bad, had to go through the carb. , this thing pulls like a mack truck. can't wait to get the acme on it, thinking of stopping the resto on my '86 cc, and just using this boat.

882001, where in clear lake are you located?
i am in Dickinson, might need a prop puller if mine don't come in by the weekend, if you have one do you mind renting it to me? i promise i won't use an impact on it!

Now them's fightin' words. BKH

P.S. Wait till you get it out in the chop before you decide. I think you'll find the CC to be superior in big water.

Turn it for a profit and get your Nautique going. You got a steal. Ask $6,000 for it and see if you get any bites. You have nothing to lose. Good luck and keep the restoration going on your Ski Nautique.

My sn2001 needs a lot of work- all new stringers, floor, interior, new wiring, all guages, motor is fine, i can still use it but it's UGLY! the silver gel kote needs redone also, BUT i love it!

Is there such thing as an ugly Nautique? You'll be happy when you're finished. Turn it over to a marine restoration person.

nautique2001, looking at your diary, that is the exact same boat i have!, nowhere near as nice, p.o. NEVER covered it, i pulled all the carpet, it was disgusting, motor cover and backseat are terrible, the po removed the rear facing seat and drivers seat, replaced them with some cheap "walmart" seats mounted on 2x12's, kinda ugly.

Never give up, Greg. The great news is that you have a SN 2001 hull to work with. Eventually, you'll get it looking good. Sounds like you have more fix it skills than me. I'm not patient with fixing, restoring, etc. I pay Correct Craft to work on my boat. In three weeks, my boat goes to a professional restoration co. to buff the hull, fix some scratches and a small chip. It would be nice to be more of a handyman. Keep us updated with your progress.

Ken

Great buy fpr 800 bucks, I would turn it for a profit and get the SN restored, you can kinda compare your situation to those kit cars you know the look a like old cobras but they aint the real deal, thats what any other boat is. The old CC you got is a mean little boat that will last forever dont get to comfortable in the centurion.

(whisper) sweet boat wanna sell

Thats one of the best deals I have seen. Just the trailer is well worth it by itself. Similar in design to my neighbors as far as the layout.

how can i remove those decals off the side with little effort?

Posted By: JEFF KOSTIS

If its vinyl lettering, I would start by using a heatgun or a hairdryer and heat them so they get real soft, then peel off.

thats what i was thinking, will try it this weekend. but what do i do about the "shadow" from the old decal? these decals are kind of gay......

Posted By: bkhallpass

I'm not seeing the issue with the decals. From the 1 picture where I can see them, they appear to be the originals for that boat????

If you want to get rid of those shadows you're in for a lot of work wetsanding and I don't see how you could just work the area around the decals without it looking different from the rest of the boat. So that means hours and hours of tedious work wetsanding and buffing your whole boat or you could just put new ones right where the old ones came off and get out skiing. Nothing wrong with thise decals anyway thats the way they came new.

Damnitson......... Was the seller looking over his shoulder during that deal????

Gotta say that looks like the best $800 deal I've seen. I'm envious, I just paid $850 for a trailer. You did good.. d

Oh yeah, I think its certainly better to leave or get new decals. If you ever decided to sell it for a 10,000% profit, it would look original. My .02

$6,000 or even $5,500 would restore your 2001 nicely. Or, sell both boats and pick up that beautiful SN 2001 for sale in TN. That thing looks like a gem. It's pretty rare to have the original interior look so new. The graphics have a nice shine too. Just a thought. Ultimately your wallet and patience dictate your decision.
