Mike, it sounds like you are looking for a #2? Those came under the 16' Mustangs, Ski Tiques, etc. The #3 was slightly larger and came under the 17-18' Ski Nautiques, Mustang 17, etc.

Yes the # 2 would be perfect if I could find one for a good price and fairly close to NC

Marty, keep it! That thing looks so good under the Skylark. If there is a boat that deserves an original trailer, its yours!

Good luck on the trailer hunt, I have been looking for 2 months for one that will accomodate 84 SN. The only luck I have had is looking at a brand new EZ Loader, you can pick one up for around 2000.00 I just can't see spending that when I only have 4 in the boat.

If someone started building them economically for these older boats they could make a killing! Think I am going to just build one for myself this winter.

Phillip, I have ran across a few Correct Craft trailers for the 2001 series boats from 82 to 89. I will see if I can find the info on them and I will send to you.

What's wrong with the trailer that's under the boat in your avitar and on your diary?

The trailer you see there is a number 2 I purchased with a 78 sitting on it, this was done out of desperation to go get the boat in Indiana. Before I made the 1200 mile round trip haul this is what I did to the trailer; new springs and bushings tires and rims, sandblasted and painted, led lights, new wiring. The trailer is to short for the boat though and also more modification needs to be done in order to still be good enough for someone else to use, once I welded in the new springs and L angle on the frame rails (so the 84 would clear the fenders) it has lifted the trailer to high for putting in (I have to bury my muffler when launching) other than all that a great trailer.
