I recently received a Shoremaster boatlift to use for as long as I need it. I have a 1949 Correct Craft Jr. (Plywood finished in mohagany)

The lift is currently fitted with cradles front and back and my CC fits well. Should I be concerned about the cradles putting to much stress on the wood hull or invest (or build) bunks to support the boat lengthwise. Thanks. SM

do not use a bunk trailer or lift on a wood boat and actually you should leave the boat in the water and not on a lift. On a wood boat the wood needs to swell to seal properly and by having it on a lift it will dry out and shrink and you will have a constant leak.
