This special sold on Ebay a few years ago. The owner tried to sell it later back on Ebay but didn't get any where close to what he paid for it. I found it in a search on Google today. He wanted it just a little more than I did back then. Very nice looking boat though. Man this economy is killing me!

The Hot Rod Special came up http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=9911&KW=hot+rod+special&PID=103905&title=4th-time-on-ebay#103905 - in this thread When it was on ebay the 4th time.

Interesting that I just spotted it's a LH Graymarine???? Very unusual because the standard would be RH. The special LH must have been salvaged out of a twin screw.

It sure looks like the transom is getting worse. I noticed the delamination looking at previous pictures. The bottom is glassed!!!! Beware if anyone looks at this boat.

Sorry guys. Tim's eyes are better than mine!! It's a RH. Yes, it's a flywheel forward.

Your eyes must not be too bad if you can see delamination on the transom. Looks good to me! Can you tell looking at the pics the bottom is glass or do you remember that from your conversation with them before? I can't see that either!

Greg,
Take a look at the hull sides below the water line. Looking from this computer at home I can now see the sides are even worse than the transom. See where the red is all bubbling up? That's the glass delaminating off the wood. Classic case!! Probably polyester resin but I don't even recommend glassing with epoxy. It can be done but it must be done properly. In this case I can say it was a cover up for a bad bottom. I'd say the ply was coming off the frames. It's sad that this "restoration" looks like it's been done by someone into auto body and not wood. It's clear coat on the bright work. He states it's won shows? Not a ACBS show!!!

With todays market, it went for more than I thought it would. Did you buy it?

No Pete I didn't get it. In todays market, I couldn't afford to fill it up! I do like that one though.
