I am a new Ski Nautique owner. I have a 1997 19'-6" Boat.

It has two speedometers. There is a way to calibrate them on this boat. I'm wanting to verify this, as the individual who told me wasn't sure.

He said at 2800 RPM, I should be going 32 MPH. I should be able to calibrate each one off of the Tachometer.

What Motor and prop do you have? I had a 1998 Ski Nautique with a GT 40 motor, stock prop, which is essentially same as your boat. The ratio of tach to speedo on my boat was closer to 1 to 1. In other words, at 3000 rpms, I was doing close to 30. If you have a stock setup, I'd be surprised if your doing 32 at 2800 rpms.

On mine you could manually adjust the speedometers. There was a small knob that stuck out of the speedo. The best way to adjust the speedos is to buy or borrow a handheld GPS to compare. I found that the speedometers were not entirely accurate through the speed range. Accordingly, I normally tuned them so they were dead on at my typical skiing speed of 34mph. BKH
