That trailer looks a lot better than ours and it's a lot closer too!

Gary, I'm glad they straightened you out about the windshield as in the beginning I used to look at your boat and think, "if only it had the correct windshield". You deserve the CCF "keep on plugging" award as your boat, year after year keeps getting better.

From the other thread (frank has a #3):

That is the dark blue. The cost to restore is ALWAYS greater than the value of the boat, at least when it comes to vintage cc's. For better or worse, it is what it is!

Chris,
I'd call it medium / sky blue...
I agree with you. To me, the work and cost involved in restoring this would be way beyond it's completed value. I think the sides could be buffed out and we did get the engine running... thats the good.

Now for the bad. Original seats are gone,(has fishing seats), stringers are shot, deck gel has some pretty bad cracks, wiring is bad. I think the strut is bent and the prop is missing a blade. other than that, she's pretty much ready to go.

I think the gel is a bit rougher than Gary's...plus no HM. Gary wouldnt know what to do with a windshield anyway.

Steve, Bring that 460 over. You probably looking for a project during your re-hab?

The boat is still pretty much as the picture shows, including drivetrain. It had sat for a few years. Mice had chewed wiring..even a gas hose! We did get it running tho. Actually sounded pretty good.
Overall, she's in pretty rough condition tho.

Still on the trailer with nothing done yet. Plans were/are to part it in my "spare time" ... the "barn project" has been taking most of that lately.

I am looking for a trailer for a 67 Starflite 17ft. The trailer that came with the boat is not good for a inboard.
Thanks,

Bruce, if you are traveling to MA, leave it with me. I can then bring it to my dad's place, if that would be helpful.

I could probably be convinced to store it for a bit if need be as well. Leave it here long enough and it's likely I'll find a boat out west that I want and could bring it out on my way, ha.

Tim is practically in east New York, so it's about 5 hours for us. Maybe someone will be there that can bring it closer to you.

Lets see Michigan to Connecticut about 11 hrs
Maine to Connecticut about 2 ?

I would love to go but this summer the family is moving west and with all my trailers I'm going to be quite the road warrior as it is
May be we can find some one who is going that's coming back my way?

I am sorry, but I forgot to take pictures. Here's a picture from a couple years ago. The trailer is the same except the bow stop and jack has been removed. I towed it about 50 miles with no issues. The tires are decent. I haven't listened to the bearings. The two beams have some bends in the front, but it tows nicely.
