Does anyone know where to get the 90 Deg. ell brass bypass fitting for SB Fords? It screws into the intake manifold right behind the thermostat. The thread size is 3/8" (pipe) and the water hose size is 5/8". Auto parts stores don't seem to have this. Is it a Ford item? A pic is attached.

I think this is where the heater hose hooks up on autos.

art and i looked at this and we feel that you do not need the pipe on the ell. chech inside the intake manifold and see if the tube went into something inside. you could also make what you are looking for by using the ell and soldering a piece of pipe into it. hope this has helped. WOODY

Kemah hardware didn't have but Craig at Standard Auto found it in an old catalog. I have two on order. The pipe extension is important. It holds a flow restrictor according to the catalog. There are four of these in a warehouse in Houston - I ordered two.
For hard to find auto parts I now have to recommend these guys... Standard Auto, Dickinson Texas, (281) 337-2267, ask for Craig. |

standard was a lifesaver on my last hobbie, 75 landcruiser w/ chevy 350. the one in webster is also helpful.
