I'm trying to alien the motor and can't loosen the nut that's used to tighten and hold the adjustment on the trans mount, it calls for a one and a half inch open end and i can't get the bastard in there, no room. help!!!!

Do you have a PCM tranny?
I had the same problem - ended up welding up a special wrench so I could break loose those lock nuts. Maybe some one else has a trick for this? |

can the up and down adjustment be made without removing the c ring on top of the rubber bushing on top of the trans mount???

i got the nut loose, but that mount is real tight and won't turn, I'll spray some lube on it and see what happens.

our 89 send me that wrench I'll need it to tighten er up when it's in line. that's a good idea I'll have to make one. thanks for your input.

84B - The wrench is just a redneck crow'sfoot. I just welded some nuts (on end, stickicg down)to the jaws of a 1" open end so I could grab the flats of the nut. If I had a 1-1/2 socket i would have cut it in half & welded a handle to it.
